Security Patrols that only offer GPS Vehicle tracking as a onsite tracking solution are not fit for purpose

We've been researching the Security Patrol market for sometime, and have investigated offerings from several security companies.

One of the most common things we found was "All cars are fitted with GPS tracking which allows us to comprehensively record every site visit which in addition to being a legislative requirement gives you peace of mind as you know exactly when we were on site."

There are some fundamental flaws with using GPS Vehicle tracking as your registrar of when each site was visited. We have often witnessed security patrol vehicles simply drive by the building but not actually get out of the vehicle, does that mean your building has been checked? Certainly not. There should be some expectation that if your site is being patrolled that they check more than just the entrance to a building, quite possibly the exits, other doors such as fire doors and carpark and garages.

Additional to this, using Vehicle GPS is far from comprehensive in it's reporting. Even if the Patrol officer did get out of the vehicle, how do you know that all points around the building were actually checked?

CheckPoint Secure ensures that Security Patrol officers actually get out of the vehicle and check each point on a site. This is done by the Security Patrol officer scanning a QR Code or NFC Tag positioned on the site using the CheckPoint Secure App. We are then able to relay this information back to the customer in a scheduled report daily. It not only gives your customer reassurance, but shows how much of a damn good job you are doing.

Each scan of a QR Code or NFC Tag records the actual Geolocation / GPS position of the Security Patrol Officer, the name of the check point, the date and time of the scan, IP Address and the ability to report incidents.

When you are paying good dollars to have your building patrolled, make sure they are doing a proper job and ask for CheckPoint Secure to be used onsite.
